Matilda was born about 1031 in Flanders, France.  Matilda's father was Baudouin V Count Flanders and her mother was Adele (Alix) France.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert II "The Pious" KING of France and C Toulouse. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Baudouin Vi (I), Robert I "le, Henry Count Of and Judith (Fausta) Countess.  She died on November 2nd, 1083 in Caen, Calvados, France.  She was buried in Chrchholytrinity, Caen, Calvados, France.
