Mason was born on September 20th, 1821 in Green  Co.,Kentucky.  He died at the age of 86 on September 20th, 1907 in Tiakiwa,Bureau Co. Illinois.  He was buried in Mt. Bloom Cemetery,Tiskilwa,Bureau Co.,Illinois.
