Jasper Newton was born in 1847. Jasper Newton's father was Andrew Elton Williams and his mother was Sirena Melissa Underwood. His maternal grandparents were Aaron Underwood and Sarah Iona Williams. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Wesley David, Aaron F., Thomas N., Council Pleasant, Jefferson, Wiley Green, Sarah Ann, Ellen Sophia, Jensie C., Emily, Ann E. and Melissa A.. He was the oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 82 in 1929.-
