John William Underwood

John William was born in 1887. John William's father was James Thomas Underwood and his mother was Amanda Jane Mabry. His paternal grandparents are David Underwood and Sarah Turner; his maternal grandparents were Thomas L. Mabry and Sarah Miranda Graham. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas David, George Thomas, Martin Luther, Roy Raven, Minnie Lee, Dora Matilda, Ollie Mae and Curtis Ophelia. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 92 in 1979.
