Mary Ann Thomas 
Mary Ann was born in 1830 in Grayson Co.,Virginia. Mary Ann's father was Joseph Burgess Thomas and her mother was Rebecca Skaggs. Her maternal grandparents were Henry Skaggs and Nancy Davis. She had four brothers and a sister, named Henry Clay, Isaac Thomas, James W., John Hardin and Nancy Jane. She is the third youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother named Gideon Gilbert.-
