Luther Palestine was born in February 1872 in Kentucky. Luther Palestine's father is William H. Skaggs and his mother is Chloe Adeline Gaddie. His paternal grandparents are William T. Skaggs and Susan Reeves. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Lewis H., William Johnson, George W. F., Sarah Jane, Susan E. and Chloe Adeline. He is the youngest of the seven children.-
