George Skaggs 
George was born on April 15th, 1801 in Hardin Co.,Kentucky. George's father was James Skaggs and his mother is Hannah Holbrook. His paternal grandfather was Henry Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Berry Skaggs. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Henry Benton, Jesse, Stephen, James ,Jr., Jane and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 85 on May 20th, 1886 in Larue Co.,Kentucky. He was buried in Old Sherman Cemetery,LaRue Co.,Kentucky.-
