Bernice Skaggs 
Bernice was born on June 23rd, 1906 in LaRue Co.,Kentucky. Bernice's father was Alonza Skaggs and her mother was Josie G. DeSpain. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Thomas DeSpain and Sarah Frances Warren. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Hobart, Willie E., Jesse, Ernie, Clara, Veleta, Ona M. and Emile. She died at the age of 21 on February 4th, 1928 in LaRue Co.,Kentucky. She was buried in Old Sherman Cemetery,LaRue Co.,Kentucky.-
