Francis Elizabeth was born on September 10th, 1883 in Elmer,Rapides Parish,Louisana. Francis Elizabeth's father was Josiah S. Miller and her mother is Eliza Theodocia Swindall. Her paternal grandparents were Josiah Miller and Mary Patience Smith. She had seven brothers and a sister, named Samuel Josiah, James Travis, Jesse, John Newton, Joel, Arthur Lee, Edwin Bethard and Sarah Emma. She is the third oldest of the nine children.
