Olin Montgomery's father was James William Bryant King and his mother is Sarah Florence Graham. His paternal grandparents are James Rufus King and Martha A. E. A. Graham; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Pinkney Graham and Sarah Jane Hickman. He had two brothers and three sisters, named James Pinkney, William David, Martha Louise, Mary Eliza and Sarah Florence.-
