William Jackson was born on December 13th, 1853 in Bell Co.,Texas. William Jackson's father was Thomas Hillyard and his mother was Christian Elizabeth Graham. His maternal grandparents were Reuben Calvin Graham and Nancy Roberts. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Milton Winfield, James Ruben, Sarah Elizabeth, Celia Delia, Unknown Twin, Nancy Keziah, Abbie and Addie Lee. He was the third oldest of the nine children.
