His paternal grandparents were William H. Faulconer and Frances Dykes; his maternal grandparents are Reuben Coleman and Kittie Dunn. He had a brother and three sisters, named William Henry Harrison, Virginia Ann, Mary Louise and Louvinia Catherine. He is the youngest of the five children.-
