Elizabeth Jane was born on April 16th, 1845.1 Elizabeth Jane's father was Matthew Williamson Edwards and her mother is Lucinda Argentine Reed. Her paternal grandparents were John , Sr. Edwards and Mary Loftin. She had three brothers named Benjamin, Lorenzo Dowe and Joseph A.. She is the oldest of the four children. She had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Robert Lee, George Wheeler, Varday, Williamson Davidson, Samantha Louise, Rebecca Elizabeth, Martha S. and Judson.-
