Malinda A. was born on April 14th, 1865 in Green Co.,Kentucky. Malinda A.'s father was Joseph DeSpain and her mother is Sarah Morrison. She had seven brothers and a sister, named William Henry, Joseph Thomas, James R., Marshall, Lewis, George Washington, Robert and Elizabeth. She was the third youngest of the nine children.
