Robert was born in 1772. Robert's father was Philemon Bird and his mother is Mary Lee. His maternal grandfather was George Lee and his maternal grandmother is Mary Buford. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Joe, Lee, James, Buford, George, Philemon ,Jr., Mary, Susanna Diana, Williamson, Catherine and Elizabeth.-
