‌Charles II the Bald of and Ermentrude of were married in a religious ceremony.  They had five sons and five daughters, named Charles of, Lothar the Lame of the West, Carloman of St. Medard, Carloman of St. Medard, Louis II the Stammerer of, Ermentrude (Hersent) of, Judith of the West, Rothilde, Gisele of the West and Hildegard of the West.
