Fromont I was born about 0914. Fromont I's father was Garnier Warinus of Troyes and his mother was Teuberga (Theutberga) of Arles. His paternal grandfather was Richard of Chaunois. He had a brother and two sisters, named Hugh of, Teutberge and Berta. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died in 0951.
