Joseph was born on October 6th, 1725 in Falls Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Joseph's father was John Skelton and his mother was Jane Fearlamb. His paternal grandparents were William Skelton and Anne Cockton. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Robert, William, Jane, Margaret, Ann and Mary. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 36 on May 5th, 1762 in Buckingham Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.General Notes
