Ardashir I of was born before 0224. Ardashir I of's father is Papak of Persia and his mother is UNKNOWN Rodak. He was an only child. He died in 0241.General Notes
According to ENCARTA: "In AD 224 Arashir I, a Persian vassal-king,
rebelled against the Parthians, defeated them in the Battle of Hormuz,
and founded a new Persian dynasty, that of the Sassanids. He then
conquered several minor neighboring kingdoms, invaded India, levying
heavy tribute from the rulers of the Punjab, and conquered Armenia."
They had a son named Sapor I of.
