John Patton 
John was born after 1749. John's father was Matthew Patton and his mother was Hester Dyer. His paternal grandfather was John Patton; his maternal grandparents were Roger Sr. Dyer and Hannah Smith. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Benjamin, James, Roger Dyer, Matthew, Samuel, William, Sarah, Mary Ann and Esther. He died after 1774 in North Carolina.-
