His paternal grandparents were Richard Owen and Johanna Pitt; his maternal grandparents were Robert Wade and UNKNOWN Joanna. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named George, Josiah, John, John, Joseph, Benjamin, Obadiah, Isaac, Nathaniel, Mary and Rebecca. He died in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.-
