He had a brother and a sister, named Teige (Terence) and Slani Ingen Brian. He was the oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Gofraid Olafsson of, Dubgall Olafsson of, Sihtric Silkbeard Olafsson of, Dubgilla Olafssdottir of and Gyda Olavsdotter of.
