Rognhild (Hildir) was born in Orkey, Orkney Islands, Scotland.  Rognhild (Hildir)'s father was Hrolf Nefja.  She was an only child.  She died in 0892.

‌Rognhild (Hildir) and Ragnvald I the Wise were married in a religious ceremony about 0867 in Maer, Nord Trondelag, Norway.  They had three sons and a daughter, named Ivar, Robert I (Rollo) Ragnvaldsson of, Thorer (Thori the Silent) and Tordis.
