Lucy de Pitres of was born about 1136 in Blaen Llyfni and Bwichy Dinas, Brecknock, Wales or Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England.  Lucy de Pitres of's father was Miles FitzWalter de Pitres of Gloucester and her mother was Sybil de Neufmarche.  Her paternal grandfather was Walter FitzRoger de Pitres of Gloucester and her paternal grandmother is Emma de Batedon; her maternal grandparents were Bernard II de Neufmarche and Nesta verch Trahaern. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Roger FitzMiles of, Michel (Mahel), William, Walter FitzMiles of, Henry FitzMiles of, Margaret de Pitres of and Bertha de Pitres.  She was the youngest of the eight children.  She died after 1219.  She was buried in Charter House, Lanthony near Gloucester, England.

‌Lucy de Pitres of and Herbert III were married in a religious ceremony before 1180.  They had three sons named Piers, Matthew and Reginald.
