Philip was born in Pennsylvania.  Philip's father was George Folk and his mother was UNKNOWN Elizabeth. He had a brother named John Peter.  He died in November 1843.

‌Philip and Eve were married in a religious ceremony before 1790 in Richmond Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.  They had two sons and two daughters, named John, Daniel, Mary and Hannah.
