General Notes

Not proven as son of George Fisher and Elizabeth Conrad.  He is not
listed as a son in Morton's Pendleton County Families but is added under
Unp. (unplaced). But 1805 Deed listed in Pendleton County, Deed Book 4,
page 200-201 dated September 21, 1805: " This indenture made the 21st day
of SEP in the year of our Lord 1805 between Michael Fisher & his wife Ann
of the County of Harrison and State of VA of the one part & Jacob Fisher
& Charles Hedrick of the County of Pendleton and State aforesaid of the
other part Witnesseth that the said Michael Fisher and Ann Fisher for and
in consideration of the sum of $100 in hand paid do bargain & sell unto
the said Jacob Fisher & Charles Hedrick their heirs & assigns a certain
part or parcel of land lying in Pendleton County on the east side of the
South Branch of Potomack adjoining & between COILS & CUNNINGHAMS land on
the head of North Mill Creek, Namely one full ninth parat of the land
held by George Fisher Sr. which said lands being purchased with money the
said George Fisher obtained for lands in the COunty of Rockingham on a
Branch of Cooks Creek which said lands was devised by Jacob Conrad
deceased to ohis daughter Elizabeth & her children with Proviso that her
husband George Fisher should have a life Estate in the same, which said
Fisher sold to Frederick Swartz by consent of his wife Elizabeth & her
children and the said land being in leiu of the aforesaid devised &
entailed land said Michael Fisher is become one of the Coheirs of the
same being one of the sons of the said Elizabeth..."He has also been
listed as son of John Adam Fisher and his wife Christina Burkstoler.
Some sources list his birth in 1785.
