Niklas Torgeirson Tjornslette was born in 1728.  Niklas Torgeirson Tjornslette's father was Torgeir Larsson Tjornslette Einbu and his mother was Anne Henriksdatter.  His paternal grandfather is UNKNOWN Lars; his maternal grandfather is UNKNOWN Henrik. He had a brother and three sisters, named Lars Torgeirson Tjornslette, Marit Torgeirsdatter Tjornslette, Inger Torgeirsdatter Tjornslette and Guri Torgeirsdatter Tjornslette.  He is the third oldest of the five children.
