Rachel was born in Virginia. Rachel's father was Robert Davis and her mother was Sarah Dyer. Her maternal grandparents were Roger Sr. Dyer and Hannah Smith. She had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Robert, Samuel, Hester, Elizabeth, Girl and Sarah. She had a half-sister named Hannah Elizabeth. She died after 1794.-
