John Ester Critton 
John Ester was born on December 27th, 1827 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia). John Ester's father was William Jr. Critton and his mother was Mary Deaver. His paternal grandparents were William Critton and Ann Haggerty; his maternal grandparents were Lloyd Deaver and Rebecca Blue. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William III, Henry, Dennis, Lloyd Dever, Frances, Deborah, Maria, Margaret and Julia Ann. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 88 in 1915 in Miami County, Ohio.General Notes
