According to testimony of Orderic Vitalis' History at the monastery of
St-Evroul in Normandy: "Corbet and his sons Roger and Robert were among
the brave and loyal men brought to Shropshire by Roger de Montgomery,
kinsman of the Conqueror, in 1070-1071."
