Margaret was born about 1218 in Buchan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Margaret's father was William Comyn and her mother was Margaret Buchan. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Comyn and Hextilda Tyndale; her maternal grandfather was Fergus Buchan. She had a brother and a sister, named Alexander and Elizabeth. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Richard, Jean and Idonea. She died after 1236.-
