Robert was born about 1348 in Scotland.  Robert's father was Thomas Bruce and his mother was Marjory Charteries.  He was an only child.  He died in 1403 in Battle of Shrewsbury.

‌Robert and Isobell were married in a religious ceremony in 1370 in Scotland.  They had two sons named Robert and Edward.
