Anchises of was born in 0602 in Austrasia, France. Anchises of's father was Arnold (St. Arnulf or Arnoul) of Metz and his mother was Dode (Ode) de Heristal. His paternal grandparents were Bodegeisel II Dux and Oda of Savoy; his maternal grandparents were Arnoaldus of Schelde and Oda of Swabia. He had two brothers named Clodoule of and Walchigise of. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 37 in 0639 in While hunting. He was buried in Andene Monastery.General Notes
