Ramiro I Sanchez of was born after 1020. Ramiro I Sanchez of's father was Sancho III the Great Garces of Pamplona and his mother was Munia Elvira Mayor Sanchez de Castile. His paternal grandparents were Garcia IV the Tremulous Sanchez of Pamplona and Jimena Fernandez; his maternal grandparents were Sancho Garcia de Castile and Urraca Salvadores de Castile. He had four brothers named Gonzalo of Sobrarbe, Bernardo, Garcia IV Sanchez de Najera of and Ferdinand I the Great Sanchez of. He died in 1069 in Barbarosa (in battle against the Muslims).General Notes
According to Brian Tompsett, UK genealogist: "Suceeded to Aragon upon
partition of his father's territories. Count of Ribagorza and Sobrarbe.
Died in battle gainst the Muslims. Some sources say killed 8 May 1064 at
Graus. See Europaisch Stammtafein Bund II tafel 45."
