Simon's father was Payne (Peganus) de Beauchamp and his mother was Rohesia de Vere. His paternal grandfather was Hugues de Beauchamp and his paternal grandmother is Adeliza Matilda Taillebois; his maternal grandparents are Alberic de Vere and Beatrice Gand. He had a sister named Beartice. He had two half-sisters named Maude and Alice. He died in 1207.
