Grant Usher

Grant was born on November 1st, 1863 in South Wayne, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin.  Grant's father was Samuel William Usher and his mother was Phoebe Jane Spokesfield.  His paternal grandparents are Elias Palmer Usher and Margaret Keeler; his maternal grandparents are Jonathan Moulton Crosby Spoksfield and Keziah Stearn Foss. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William Harris (Harry), Jonathan Spokesfield, Alice, Edith May (Eddie), Anna Estella, Mary and Margaret.  He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named William Harris, Jonathan Spokesfield, Alice Usher, Edith May, Anna Estelle, Hattie Baylor, Mary and Margaret.  He died at the age of 77 on May 16th, 1941 in Seattle, King Co., Washington.

‌Grant and Addra Belle were married in a religious ceremony on August 4th, 1905 in Superior, Nuckolls Co., Nebraska.  They had three sons named Lee Samuel, Harlan and Donald Grant.
