John was born about 1580 in Methley, Yorkshire, England. John's father was John Savile and his mother was Jane Garth. His paternal grandparents are Henry Savile and Elizabeth Ramsden; his maternal grandparents are Richard Garth and Jane Busher. He was an only child. He died in 1651.1 -
