Ealdgyth was born in 1034 in Mercia, England.  Ealdgyth's father was Alfgar III Earl of Mercia and her mother is Elfgifu Princess of England.  Her paternal grandparents were Leofric III Earl Of Mercia and Godiva Countess Of Mercia Saxon; her maternal grandfather was Ethelred II "The Unready" King of England and her maternal grandmother is Alfgifu (Aelflaed) Queen of England. She had a brother and a sister, named William and Miss.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William Lord Of and Ealdgyth (Aglithia).  She died at the age of 52 in 1086.
