Lourens (Lawrence) was born on April 22nd, 1746 in Harligen, Somerset, NJ. Lourens (Lawrence)'s father was Thomas Pietersen and his mother is Antje (Anne) Lammerse. His paternal grandparents are Pieter Gerbrantse and Christyatje Jurians; his maternal grandfather was Conrad (Lammerse) Lamberts and his maternal grandmother is Neeltie Lowe.
