Elizabeth was born in 1737. Elizabeth's father was Joseph Pace and her mother was Ann Basford. Her paternal grandparents were John Pace and Elizabeth Newsome; her maternal grandparents are Richard Basford and Martha. She had five brothers and five sisters, named George, Josiah, Joseph, John H., Daniel, Rachael, Lettice, Mary, Susanna and Sarah.-
