Neils was born on January 6th, 1765 in Elling, Hjorring, Denmark. Neils' father was Laust Pedersen and his mother was Maren Pedersen. His paternal grandfather is Peder Jensen; his maternal grandparents were Peder Nielsen and Gyde Hansen. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Peder, Jacob, Soren, Maren, UNKNOWN, Johanne and Kirsten. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 67 on January 30th, 1832 in Smorkrogen, Hjorring, Denmark.-
