John Gifford 
John was born on October 23rd, 1766 in Norwich, New London, CT. John's father was Ziba Gifford and his mother is Edith Gifford. His paternal grandfather was Samuel Gifford and his paternal grandmother is Experience Hyde. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Ziba, Eliab, Eli, Stephen, Edith, Hannah, Martha, Betsy and Polly. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 89 on September 24th, 1856 in Randolph, Orange Co., VT.-
