Alexio I was born about 1048 in Constantinople,Turkey. Alexio I's father was John Comnenus and his mother was Anna Dalassena. His paternal grandfather was Manolis Comnenos; his maternal grandparents are Alexios Charon Dalassenes Prefect Of Italy and Daughter of Adrian Dalessanos. He was an only child. He died on August 15th, 1118.-
