Her paternal grandfather was Luitfride II Count Of Upper Alsace and her paternal grandmother is Hiltrude Countess Of Upper Alsace. She had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Luitfrid III, Hugh, Bertha, Ermengarde, Adela, Adela and Adele.-
