His paternal grandfather was Norman Darcy and his paternal grandmother is Agnes; his maternal grandparents were Robert Bertram and Agnes. He had five brothers named Thomas, Norman, Ralph, Phillip and John. He was the youngest of the six children. He died before May 12th, 1284 in Lincolnshire, England.-
