Willard Gilson was born on February 28th, 1923 in Morristown, Corson Co., North Dakota. Willard Gilson's father was William Harrison Coen and his mother was Ethel Edna Gilson. His paternal grandparents were Richard (Richmond) Coen and Hannah Minerva Nesler. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Harrison, Richard, Lottie Mae and Lela. He was the youngest of the five children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Jessie and Bernadine. He died due to Vehicle Accident at the age of 45 on February 27th, 1969 in Phu Yen, South Vietnam.-
