Grecia was born in 1176 in Stoke, England. Grecia's father was William De Briwere and her mother was Beatrix De Vaux. Her paternal grandparents are Henry De Briwere and Miss Walton. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Richard, William, Margaret, Alice, Isabel and Joan. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 47 in 1223.-
