Living's father was Edgar McDaniel Boyd and her mother was Annie Little Renton. Her paternal grandparents were William Thomas Boyd and Edna M. Bastion. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Richard Leroy, Robert Wayne, Living, Joe Ann, Dorothy June, Clara Geraldine and Annabell.-
