Ellen was born about 1513 in Sandbache, Cheshire, England. Ellen's father is William Bolt and her mother is Miss Venables. She is an only child.
Ellen and John were married in a religious ceremony about 1539. They had five sons and a daughter, named William, Richard, Thomas, Francis, Edward and Johanna.
