Ralph Thomas was born in 1883. Ralph Thomas' father was Orpha Anders and his mother is Nancy Hicks. His paternal grandfather was William Anders and his paternal grandmother is Aby Swindle. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Orpha, Garfield Wesley, Laura, Susan, Catherine, Sarah E. and Fannie. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Harrison, Jesse, Archibald, Nathaniel, Willis, Ellen and Julia. He died at the age of 91 in 1974 in NC.-
